This video is one of General Motor’s Saturn division’s most recent television advertisements. Titled ‘Rethink’ it tells you to rethink, and focus on the more important things. Towards the end of the ad, it showcases Saturn’s current new-car lineup; 2007 Saturn Aura Green Line Hybrid Sedan, 2007 Saturn Sky Roadster and 2007 Saturn Outlook (our next car). The ‘rethink American’ theme is supposed to tell imported car buyers and criticizers of American domestic cars to reconsider their opinions by trying out one of Saturn’s may new cars (Sky, VUE, Outlook, Aura and (soon) Astra. Saturn’s commitment to quality products is very impressive, and their style is not only unique but very attractive. Their cars offer options that no one else delivers. Saturn’s 2007 model line-up far surpasses their previous models in quality, and is a true threat to Toyota, Honda and Ford.

It didn’t say “Don’t mention” It said “Don’t ask what is it” and to further prevent the question, he posted the name of the song & the artist. It’s sad that the OP had to make such a specific demand, but it’s par for the course. I’ve seen several ads posted where the name of the song & artist are mentioned in the description, and people still ask. Yes, the aura is based on the Vectra, not the g6, the OP was wrong in that statement, but it’s understandable how they might seem comparable. The all new Chevy malibu is made in the same plant as the aura, and is based off the aura, the aura in turn, was based off the Opel/Vauxhal Vectra.

Astra isn’t American, its European. Focus isn’t American, its European. Fiesta isn’t American, its European. Chevrolet’s Aveo isn’t American, its Asian. The only American economy car is the Dodge Caliber, and its got more power then a V8 Mustang.

I think the Aura is closer (almost the same) to the Vectra than to the G6. Besides, Opel got the Speedster (Saturn Vue) earlier than Saturn, which makes me think it’s rather Opel.

Astra is the only …
Astra is the only European Saturn. The Aura is based on the Pontiac G6 Sedan, designed to look like a European Opel. Sky is made and designed here as well. Its Opel that is importing the Sky, not vice versa.
