Driving around 500 …
Driving around 500 to 1000 pounds of batteries to save 2 gallons of gas is stupid. We need a fundamental technology leap. Until then, use the PPH60 from gogreenwithct. This system uses batteries to power the electrical loads in your car so the extremely inefficient alternator doesn’t have to.

You don’t know what …
You don’t know what you are talking about about. The EV1 as an all electric was not a viable vehicle. It was only a 2 seater. It could not operate in very hot or very cold enviroments. I know this because one of my friends had a EV1 in SoCal back in the 1990’s. It had very limited range and if you ever needed to run the heater or air you would be in trouble. Also the most important reason GM would not produce the car was that the US Government would not let it. It wouldn’t pass the crash tests.

My question on …
My question on Vehicle to Grid is if your car is providing power back to the grid then what do you do when you need to drive it and the battery is dead.

When I found out …
When I found out that producing one prius makes more waste and emits more CO2 than building one Hummer H2 I was disappointed.
Making Car Factories Greener first is important. Subaru already has a green factory located in (or near?)a national wildlife reserve lol. Just give me an E85 plug in hybrid and i’ll be happy. Gas free is the main thing.

I would like to have Google make the conversion available, so I can retrofit it in a hybrid car.

Power plants are …
Power plants are much easier to maintain and regulate than individual vehicles. And, as mentioned below, there are plenty of places with clean fuel alternatives. I don’t advocate burning coal or oil for electricity - but how about garbage? Or maybe biodigesters from feedlots and dairies?

I totally agree..If you had a strong arm on a product or market, you’d be upset too if someone came along with a proven device that not only works better than your item yet it’s better for our planet. Water4fuel,info

I love James …
I love James Woolsey’s description of the coalition of people who support new, little-to-no-gasoline technologies. It’s true that there’s a big coalition of people who want this, and that enables change.

You can use …
You can use electricity from whatever other source - wind, solar, tidal, geothermal, nuclear.
You don’t have alternatives for oil.
You may also feel free to ignore the global warming shtick - it’s much more of an issue that the oil price isn’t really going down and that drilling in the ANWR is a drop in the bucket. Think of the wallets, not of the whales.

We had …
We had American-made EV1, powered by American electricity. But GM took them away, crushed them, and drove us to buy Toyota RAV4-EV.
GM is hooked on oil.

Sock puppets are paid by GM or Big Oil to blather the same old lies.
Wake up! This is a big issue, whether we stay enslaved to foreign oil dictators.
These dumb posters are putting the money they get paid above common sense.
Solar power and plug-in cars, it works for hundreds of us. Why not you??

Our RAV4-EV has a NiMH battery that lasts longer than the life of the car — even a Toyota car — over 200,000 miles.
So why not allow some people to BUY them??

Actually, we make …
Actually, we make more electric than we use from our rooftop solar system. The money we saved on gas paid for the system, now, we drive for free. NO gas, no oil, no smog checks.

You global warming …
You global warming lovers and environmentalists make me laugh. Sure, a plug-in won’t use fuel. BUT, where do you get the electricity from? You guessed it, the power plant. More plug in cars = more power plants. Just goes to show ya short-term thinking never works. Also, leave your hateful comments about me, it amuses me.

Seriously, my 1993 Saturn gets 52mpg at 60mph and 28mpg at 30mph. If no one watches and puts any pressure on the industry, they’ll regress for the easy money.

I would prefer an electric, the technology is there. But not the intentionally insulting lame golf cart crap repeatedly created by Detroit.
