My 2007 Yaris …
My 2007 Yaris averages 41.8 mpg (38.4 mpg overall) on the highway, and it has the 1.5L engine.
The 2007 ratings were 34/40, but they changed the US fuel ratings system in 2008 to make the numbers more conservative. The 2009 Yaris is rated at 29/35- which is unrealistic unless you drive 80 mph 100% of the time against the wind fully loaded with bricks and passengers. It’s a good little car..

Low sulpher diesel …
Low sulpher diesel fuel is the law in the US, Europe has had it for years. Its about time that Chney and Bush’s oil buddies let diesels into the US, thats how we get energy efficient, not with a stupid hybrid!
